precious... the film

have you noticed the mountain of media hype surrounding this film?precious is everywhere!the prestigious grand jury prize at sundance2009 the most prominent.hell it's justified.but did they really see the film?to see precious is to see her mother played by mo'nique.this characterisation will reverberate within me as i decide throughout the year,as the most riviting,awe inspiring piece of acting i will see.caustic,trashmouthed,pathetic and possibly psychotic mo'nique rules the turf.precious has 2 children both by her father but kindly hands reach out to her.lenny kravitz looking not unlike ben harper as a mail nurse,a very down played mariah carey as a social worker,paula patton as the teacher all reaching out plus a killa soundtrack make this oprah produced modest little number worthy of an urgent look.see precious, see the mother....in perth at the luna soon
